Prayer is an intentional and meaningful way that every individual — no matter of age, race or background — can deepen his or her spirituality.
Love and Light,
Rev. Nancy Arenas
Sometimes when I look in the mirror I’m not too happy with what I see.
I ask my higher power to please let me see me the way I meant to be,
beautiful and perfect just as I am.
Help me to hold this image in my mind and heart as I follow my life’s path.
Allow others to witness this light shining through me as I walk with confidence,
grace and a smile on my face.
I ask for strength to face myself, my conflicts, other people and the world.
For the ill:
May your body and soul heal.
May your pain cease,
May your strength increase,
May your fears be released,
May blessings, love, and joy surround you.
For the departed:
Do Not Weep
Do not stand at my
grave and weep;
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.
In your heart I live with you inside.
Prayer for the Loss of a Beloved Pet:
“Eternal Spirit, we bring you our grief in the loss of [name of pet] and ask for the courage to bear it. We bring you our thanks for [name of pet] who lived among us and gave us freely of his/her love. We commit our friend and companion [name of pet] into your loving hands. Give us eyes to see how your love embraces all creatures and every living thing speaks to us of your love.”
